Vision & values
Growing together. Re-creating the innate order on earth within the modern times. Our vision is to tap back into feeling as a part of nature and living in tune with ourselves and everyone and everything around. To us, re-connecting to nature and re-learning to live in community in integrity with our individual selves is a way to contribute to a better world and we believe it’s very needed.
Background
With most of us coming from a more or less separated city lifestyle, we aim to re-learn living together.
Ecological Imprint
We’re using wood Chips heating, sharing as many resources as possible, avoiding packaging (e.g. through food in big bulks) and non-sustainable products as much as we can. We also renovate our buildings with clean and ecological materials and sustain the existing structure rather than building new ones.
Relating Values
Authentic expression, a self-responsible way of dealing with triggers/personal trauma, healthy boundaries and an open, loving connection are our guides in interacting with each other. We support each other with mediations wherever it’s helpful and seek external mediators, if needed.
Personal growth and healing as part of the ecologic movement
We believe that humans naturally protect and preserve nature and all life on earth, but through trauma and unnatural upbringing, this ability can get distorted. In community, we can grow and heal together. We see conflict and uncomfortable mirrors as a strong teacher for personal growth. Being more in tune with our innate nature, supporting each other in expressing our natural gifts and re-learning to trust our intuition are what we are aiming for.
Health
A holistic approach to health, receiving healing power from the plants that surround us and a deep confidence in home birth is an anchor in our community life.
Children
We consider our children our treasures, our inspiration and our teachers, and we’re doing our best to support them in unfolding their gifts and unique beings.
We also trust in the medicine of multi-generational living, as well as in the immeasurable gift of relating to more adults than just your own parents. Our outgoing, curious and highly communicative kids are proof of the benefits of growing up in a community field.
Horizontal Governance
Bit by bit, we are implementing more and more sociocratic structures to our decision making and organization, constantly seeking to improve our work/life balance. We learn and implement structures from our partner organisations, Mietshäuser Syndikat and Les Passages, Global Ecovillage Network Europe, aiming to be a “group of all leaders”, guiding and allowing ourselves to be guided by each other while representing the group’s best interests.
Spreading the medicine
We are eager about community building and sharing our experiences with groups who are interested in creating new communities.
On top of that, we also aim to run a seminar space, connected to holistic approaches. Through this we want to share the beautiful land with the rest of the world, spread valuable knowledge for change and also support our project financially to decrease the need of earning money “outside”, and allow us to spend more of our time on community life.
The land and us in symbiosis
We also plan to create a vivid permaculture garden with animals in the mid future and dream of treehouses, shelters, art and vibrant workshops for creative expression, embedded in our natural surrounding as well as purchasing more land around us to support the preservation of natural habitats for animals and plants.
